About The Position

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC, is seeking a Face to Face Interpreter fluent in French. As a contractor, you will use your language skills to assist individuals during medical, social service, and other types of appointments. This role offers a flexible schedule with the opportunity to earn money based on the number of assignments completed. Assignments are available 24/7/365, with most occurring during business hours. This is a rewarding way to utilize your bilingual skills to help those in need.

Requirements

Located in the Central Ohio area.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check (fingerprints) and a 10-panel drug screening.
Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g., Bridging the Gap, Access Academy, Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.

Nice To Haves

Multilingual abilities including English and French.
Previous professional interpretation experience is not required.
English as a second language (ESL) speakers are welcome.

Responsibilities

Provide face-to-face interpretation services during medical, social service, and other appointments.
Utilize French and English language skills to facilitate communication between parties.
Accept and complete interpretation assignments based on availability and personal schedule.
