About The Position

Access 2 Interpreters, LLC, is seeking a Face to Face Interpreter fluent in Dari. As a contractor, you will use your language skills to assist individuals during medical, social service, and other appointments. This role offers a flexible schedule with good pay, allowing you to earn money by taking on assignments as often as you choose. The work is rewarding as it involves helping those in need who speak your language.

Requirements

Located in the Central Ohio area.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Eligible to work in the United States.
Pass a Federal Criminal Background Check based on fingerprints.
Pass a 10-panel drug screening.
Provide proof of program completion from an accredited interpreter training of at least 40 hours (e.g. Bridging the Gap, Access 2 Interpreters' "Access Academy", Court Interpretation, Certificate or Degree in interpretation from an accredited college or university).
Provide Certification of Bilingual Proficiency or pay for and complete a 3rd Party Bilingual Fluency Evaluation through an accredited testing and evaluation organization.

Nice To Haves

No previous professional interpretation experience is required.
English as a second language (ESL) speakers are welcome.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals during medical, social service, and other types of appointments using Dari language skills.
Interpret face-to-face for clients.
Take available assignments based on personal schedule.
