About The Position

The Fabricator provides welding and fabrication support to Energy Systems’ sales, service, rental, and construction departments. The role includes modifying generators and related equipment, supporting project estimates, performing generator maintenance or repairs, identifying and reporting equipment issues, and documenting completed work in FieldServio. The position may require occasional travel and compliance with PPE requirements at the assigned work location.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of welding or fabrication experience in field work or shop work.
• Ability to perform heavy and light welding.
• Ability to perform sheet metal fabrication.
• Knowledge of fuel tank and enclosure modifications and part manufacturing.
• Ability to do light design.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, or Stick welding.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Nice To Haves

• Welding or fabricator certification.
• At least 5 years of welding or fabrication experience in field work or shop work.

Responsibilities

• Provide welding and fabrication support for the Sales, Service, Rental, and Construction departments.
• Install vent extensions and spill boxes on generators.
• Install DPF systems and load bank systems on generators.
• Work with the project management team to specify modification estimates.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance service and/or repairs of generators.
• Detect faulty operations and defective material, and promptly report them and other unusual situations to the service manager.
• Create reports for all work performed in FieldServio.
• Communicate report findings through phone calls, emails, and in-person communication.
