About The Position

ISM is seeking a motivated and experienced Brake Press Operator to bend, shape, and form metal components for customers. The Metal Fabricator reads and interprets engineering blueprints, fabricates metal components, and performs quality checks on finished products. The role also involves setting up, operating, and maintaining fabrication machines while following safety standards. The position is offered on 1st and 2nd shifts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience as a fabricator.
• Proven ability in shearing, sawing, punching, rolling, forming, and welding.
• Ability to set up, operate, and maintain fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and understand engineering blueprints.
• Good dexterity, good vision, and excellent attention to detail.
• Willingness to undergo a physical examination.
• Ability to understand English in written and verbal communications and instructions.
• Advanced knowledge of industrial metal work and excellent mathematical skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience on a Trumpf machine.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints and work instructions, ensuring requirements and specifications are met.
• Verify dimensions and product specifications using quality tools.
• Operate fabrication equipment and machinery to complete parts, ensuring parts are properly fitted, aligned, and secured.
• Test and inspect parts for functionality and quality, and troubleshoot products where appropriate to prevent problems or recalls.
• Maintain the production schedule and report and detail product work instructions.
• Meet quality-control standards and follow safety rules and regulations.
• Fabricate and construct metal products, including grinding, finishing, and inspecting completed products and performing quality checks.
