About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator/Welder for a fabrication shop specializing in construction projects, including stairs, rails, and other miscellaneous metal projects. The role involves reading blueprints and performing layouts to specifications, fitting and welding metal parts, and operating fabrication tools and equipment. Employment requires successfully passing a drug screening before starting.

Requirements

• Ability to read blueprints and conduct layouts according to specifications.
• Ability to position, align, fit, and weld parts to form units.
• Ability to weld using MIG, flux-core, and/or stick processes.
• Experience operating an overhead crane.
• Experience with fabrication equipment such as saws, pipe notchers, and grinders.
• Understanding of basic math, geometry, and fractions.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, torches, and jigs.
• Must successfully pass a drug screening before starting.
