About The Position

Airtronics, a manufacturing and machine shop facility with both commercial and US Government clients, has an immediate opening on its team for an experienced Fabricator/Manual Machinist. We offer a complete and competitive benefits package, are conveniently located in east Tucson, and our current work hours include working only until 12:30 on Fridays. Due to the nature of our work and the customer we support, applicants must be U.S. Citizens. Compensation is DOE.

Requirements

Mig and Tig Skills required
Good understanding of set-up techniques
Must have well rounded understanding of ferrous and nonferrous alloys
U.S. Citizen

Responsibilities

Experience in SMAW, GTAW, and GMAW welding of mild and alloy steel, aluminum alloys, and stainless steels
Perform mathematical calculations required to fabricate complex geometries
Proficient in tooling, jig, and fixture design and fabrication
Ability to run a manual milling machine as well as manual lathe
Be able to trim, file, grind, deburr, buff and smooth surfaces
Ability to solder, bolt, rivet, screw, clip, caulk or bond component parts to assemble products
Be able to operate a manual mill and lathe to build tooling
