About The Position

The Fabricator / Machinist performs fabrication and machining operations to produce quality products. The role operates CNC turning and milling machines, inspects products using Total Quality concepts and measurement equipment, and performs scheduled preventive maintenance. The employee records daily activities on work orders and other required media, follows safe work practices, and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The position is listed for second shift.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited school.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to work in a production environment are preferred.
• Ability to follow operating procedures, assess problems, and recommend solutions.
• Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges to ensure products are within tolerance.
• Ability to meet production standards and follow instructions.
• Must be able to attend work regularly.
• Must pass a drug and alcohol screen and remain drug free throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous machining experience preferred.
• NC/CNC operations experience desired.
• Mechanical aptitude and demonstrated ability to work in a production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform burning, grinding, shearing, sawing, turning, and press brake operations to produce quality products.
• Operate CNC machines, including turning and milling processes.
• Inspect products using Total Quality concepts.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as scheduled.
• Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other required media.
• Conduct quality-control checks using measurement equipment.
• Exercise safe work habits.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
