About The Position

Responsible for running production on hand welding, robot level 2, set up CNC operator in addition to the responsibilities under Fabricator 3. Conducts inspections in accordance with relevant gage plans with a working knowledge of how to operate calipers and angle gages. Able to troubleshoot problems that arise with work center and parts. Responsible for cleaning and preventative maintenance of machine center and compliance with the 6-S schedule. Perform minor repairs on fabrication cell equipment. Accountable for all record-keeping as appropriate and in accordance with Stryker specifications. Responsible for leading complex projects that will improve fabrication’s processes, change management, and floor placement of equipment. Must be a self-starter with exceptional independent judgement and decision making skills, particularly around problem solving. Understand and articulate continuous improvement in tandem with business needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience required.
  • Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. frequently, occasionally 50-75 lbs.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged physical activity.
  • Ability to reach, push, or pull as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Quality training, including visual inspection of welds, part quality, gage plan completion, and proper part loading.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints.
  • Ability to use height stands, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring systems, and other inspection equipment.
