About The Position

The Fabricator III is responsible for running production on hand welding, robot level 2, and CNC operations. This role involves conducting inspections using relevant gage plans, operating calipers and angle gages, and troubleshooting problems with work centers and parts. The Fabricator III is also accountable for the cleaning and preventative maintenance of machine centers, compliance with the 6-S schedule, and performing minor repairs on fabrication cell equipment. Additionally, this position requires meticulous record-keeping according to Stryker specifications and leading complex projects to improve fabrication processes, manage change, and optimize equipment placement. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with exceptional independent judgment and decision-making skills, particularly in problem-solving, and can articulate continuous improvement in alignment with business needs.

Requirements

Required High School Diploma or GED.
2+ years of MIG and TIG welding experience.
Ability to lift/carry 10-50 lbs. frequently, occasionally 50-75 lbs.
Ability to perform tasks involving prolonged physical activity.
Ability to reach, push, or pull as needed.

Nice To Haves

Quality training, including visual inspection of welds, part quality, gage plan completion, and proper part loading.
Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints.
Ability to use height stands, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring systems, and other inspection equipment.

Responsibilities

Running production on hand welding, robot level 2, and CNC operator.

Leading complex projects that will improve fabrication’s processes, change management, and floor placement of equipment.
