About The Position

Hendrick Manufacturing is seeking a First Shift Fabricator B to join their team in Carbondale, PA. This role involves maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on presses, setting up and operating CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake, and Whitney Plasma Punch. The Fabricator will be responsible for producing product according to shop orders, ensuring proper die clearance, punch grade, and lubrication. Additionally, they will read shop product descriptions, identify tooling that requires servicing, and set up tools accordingly, including slide and stripper settings. The position requires the ability to multitask efficiently and perform other assigned duties.

Requirements

High School graduate or GED
1 – 3 years’ experience operating CNC equipment in a manufacturing / industrial environment
Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, drawings, micrometer and set calipers.

Nice To Haves

Trade/vocation certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain each Press according to maintenance procedures.
Diagnose and perform routine preventive maintenance on presses.
Set up and operate the CNC Press Brake, Mechanical Press Brake, and the Whitney Plasma Punch.
Produce product as described in the shop order.
Set proper die clearance, proper punch grade, and apply proper lubrication.
Read shop product as described on the shop order.
Detect when a tool needs to be serviced.
Set up a tool accordingly.
Determine and set slide and stripper settings.
Multitask efficiently as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
