About The Position

Our service offerings include creative and design, program development and project management, software, and web development, and full-service production technology. The Fabrication Technician crafts and builds event setups and structures, collaborating with design and production teams to bring concepts to life. This role requires experience with fabrication tools, keen attention to detail, and the ability to work creatively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a carpentry background and experience working both in a shop and on-site for installs.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years’ experience in show production (e.g. theatre, concerts, or corporate events preferred)
  • Strong carpentry background with experience in both shop fabrication and onsite installs
  • Proficiency in rigging, motion control, stagecraft, and use of hand/power tools
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings and blueprints
  • Knowledge of construction materials (e.g. wood, metal, foam, vinyl, plastics)
  • Strong troubleshooting, time management, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on precision, quality, and safety
  • Comfortable working long hours, standing 4–6 hours, and maintaining flexibility for nights, weekends, and some holidays
  • Effective collaboration skills across diverse teams and environments
  • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

  • Apply or develop skills in drafting programs (e.g., AutoCAD)
  • Gain knowledge of audio, video, and lighting equipment to support integrated event builds

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and finish live event activations and scenic structures based on design specifications
  • Build, paint, install, maintain, and strike production elements in collaboration with the Show Imaging team
  • Partner with design and production teams to align on project requirements, timelines, and quality standards
  • Travel locally and nationally to lead or assist with event structure setup and installation; work flexible hours as required
  • Operate and maintain fabrication tools and equipment, performing regular inspections to ensure safe, optimal use
  • Track material usage, maintain shop organization, and assist with building maintenance and upgrades
  • Apply or develop skills in drafting programs (e.g., AutoCAD) and gain knowledge of audio, video, and lighting equipment to support integrated event builds
  • Participate in company-wide projects, work calls, meetings, and events as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
