Requirements

High School diploma or GED equivalent with a minimum of 1-year relevant experience.
Basic level computer skills (General use of Microsoft Office).
Clear understanding of shop mathematics involving decimals and fractions.
Requires a working knowledge of fusion welding processes and terminology.
Ability to work alone with little to no supervision.
Ability to problem solve minor fabrication & equipment issues.
Must have a strong attendance record.
Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to work hours outside of the regular shift.
Must have good mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to wear a respirator.
The position requires ascending, descending stairs, standing for extended periods, bending, squatting, twisting, overhead reach, and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of hand and machine fusion welding (Mig and Tig) operations to construct powder containers at a higher skill level.
Perform routine maintenance work on equipment with little to no supervision to optimize uptime.
Prepare all parts to be fitted together for fabrication, i.e., grinding, polishing, and cleaning.
Fabrication of stainless steel extrusion cans.
Sealing and preparing cans for shipment.
Comply with all company rules and regulations outlined in the employee handbook.
May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.
Support the cell’s continuous improvement and all CORE and EH&S initiatives, including wearing required personal protective equipment.
