About The Position

This position is responsible for the fabrication of aluminum and stainless-steel parts, and welding duties, as needed for shop orders. The role involves bending aluminum or stainless-steel parts by machine, fabricating according to customer orders, and performing welding duties per customer specifications. The technician will fabricate items such as battery boxes, stainless steel tank straps, and tread plate aluminum deck plates using correct measurements, tools, and machinery. Safe and efficient operation of all fabricating and welding machinery is essential, as is maintaining a clean work area at the end of each day.

Requirements

• High school diploma, or GED equivalent.
• Welding certification from an accredited welding school/program.
• Ability to learn/operate shears, press brakes, and forklift truck.
• Maintain a positive attitude, with a customer service focus in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Detail-oriented, focused, driven, and a self-starter.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Bends aluminum or stainless-steel parts by machine, fabricating according to customer orders.
• Performs welding duties as required for parts orders per customer specifications.
• Fabricates items such as battery boxes, stainless steel tank straps, and tread plate aluminum deck plates using correct measurements, tools, and machinery.
• Operates all fabricating and welding machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
• Cleans work area at end of day to reduce clutter and safety hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
