About The Position

The Fire Protection Fabrication Welder fabricates and welds components for fire protection systems, including the construction and assembly of fire suppression and sprinkler systems. Welding activities must adhere to industry standards and safety regulations. The role also includes preparing pipe for shipment, welding with automated equipment or by hand when necessary, performing miscellaneous shop tasks, and maintaining an orderly work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills and ability to multitask.
• Adaptability to handle different projects and tasks efficiently.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to weld preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cut and roll groove fire protection piping.
• Bundle and organize pipe in preparation for shipping.
• Weld on an automated machine.
• Hand weld when necessary.
• Perform miscellaneous shop tasks.
• Maintain the condition of the work area, keeping it free of trash and products in their correct locations.
