About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Fabrication Technician IV (Robot Weld) - 2nd Shift at our Hodges, SC facility. The core hours are 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm, Monday - Friday. The rate for this position is $22.83 per hour + $1 per hour shift premium. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in robotic welding or automated welding environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience setting up weld fixtures and tooling.
  • Troubleshooting experience with robotic systems and fixtures.
  • Familiarity with ABB or similar welding robots.
  • Knowledge of HMI
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and/or braze welding.
  • Understanding of robotic cell integration (sensors, safety systems).

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain robotic welding systems (6-axis robots, welding cells)
  • Modify robot paths, touch-ups, and offsets to ensure weld quality.
  • Perform basic robot programming and troubleshooting.
  • Work with maintenance/engineering to resolve automation issues.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery such as oiling, manual clamp adjustments, and clamp/finger replacement.
  • Utilize calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices to ensure engineering standards.
  • Comply with the environment, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Sustain 5S+ in area.
  • Be responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, complying with WSRA’s, and wearing proper PPE. Any safety issue identified should be reported immediately to team lead, supervisor, or manager.
