About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Fabrication Technician I (2nd Shift) in Hodges, SC. The rate for this position is $18.11 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. The core hours are Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 months of industrial manufacturing experience
  • 3 months of experience operating a powered industrial vehicle (e.g., forklift)
  • 3 months of experience using hand and pneumatic (air) tools
  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Follow all environmental, health, and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain 5S+ standards within the work area.
  • Handle housings requiring hole punching, cutting, and support taping processes.
  • Operate press brakes according to manufacturing instructions and/or assist other operators with bending heavy or oversized parts.
  • Apply tape to bars according to order specifications to protect aluminum and copper during the epoxy process.
  • Use hand grinders to remove excess weld material and assist with loading and unloading robotic welders.
  • Assist in collecting all welded and single-piece components by shop order, track their progress through the weld process, and deliver them to the appropriate work centers.
  • Work from established procedures, manufacturing information, drawings, blueprints, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervision or engineering.
  • Use material handling equipment to move products and supplies. May lift and carry up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation and push or pull up to 100 lbs. occasionally with assistance.
  • Flex across other fabrication areas as needed, including press brake, downdraft, masking, and housing punch operations.
  • Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills, including typing, pressing buttons, and similar activities.
