About The Position

Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fabrication Technician I - Powder Coat for the 2nd Shift. This position is responsible for loading and unloading materials onto the powder-coat line and may also operate the powder-coat booth. Duties include applying powder to parts according to customer specifications, inspecting finished work to ensure it meets all quality and customer standards, and maintaining high performance to achieve production and quality targets. The role also emphasizes fostering a safe, engaged, and inclusive workplace by following company policies, using required personal protective equipment, operating equipment safely, and completing assigned 5S tasks. The technician will use travel documents, blueprints, and instructions to operate the powder-coat line, maintain progress, identify process improvements, verify product quality, and cross-train in additional tasks.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered (Active-Duty Military Service members are exempt).

  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and verify quality in a Lean environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams, drawings, or operating instructions.
  • Experience using measuring devices such as tape measures and calipers.
  • Experience working with Eaton systems, including DMM and AS400.

  • Verifying product quality by measuring finished parts, performing visual inspections, identifying nonconforming components, and troubleshooting defects.
  • Cross-training in additional tasks and providing support to other team members or functions.
