About The Position

This position fabricates aluminum and stainless-steel parts and performs welding duties as needed for shop orders. The Fabrication Tech bends and fabricates materials according to customer orders and specifications, using accurate measurements, tools, and machinery. Example products include battery boxes, stainless-steel tank straps, and tread-plate aluminum deck plates. The role also involves safely and efficiently operating fabrication and welding machinery and keeping the work area clean to reduce clutter and safety hazards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Welding certification from an accredited welding school or program.
• Ability to learn and operate shears, press brakes, and a forklift truck.
• Positive attitude and customer-service focus in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Detail-oriented, focused, driven, and self-starting.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Bend aluminum or stainless-steel parts using machines according to customer orders.
• Perform welding duties for parts orders in accordance with customer specifications.
• Fabricate items such as battery boxes, stainless-steel tank straps, and tread-plate aluminum deck plates using correct measurements, tools, and machinery.
• Operate fabrication and welding machinery safely and efficiently.
• Clean the work area at the end of the day to reduce clutter and safety hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
