Requirements

  • 0-3 years experience in machining Team Lead experience
  • 5-7 Years experience in machining
  • Ability to work autonomously within established procedures and practices

Responsibilities

  • Setting up and operating automatic or semiautomatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
  • Monitoring meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
  • Following engineering drawings, work order information, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and other written and verbal specifications in the manufacturing process.
  • Installing, modifying, moving, troubleshooting, repairing and dismantling machinery and equipment according to requisition established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints or other drawings.
  • Performing the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
  • Assembling mechanical units, fabricated parts/components and/or electrical/electronic systems to make sub-assemblies, assemblies or complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures and miscellaneous equipment.
  • Train Associates on the proper use of equipment and PPE (personal protective equipment)
  • Maintain cross training matrix
  • Onboard new Associates
  • Assist Area Manager and Planners in prioritizing workload and equipment schedule to meet internal and external customer demand
  • Assist the manager and planning team in directing daily work
  • Provide Associate performance feedback to the Area Manager
  • Recommend overtime schedule and maintain attendance schedule
  • Act as the first responder to department issues to include tracking down parts, working with Material Planners to resolve kanban issues, troubleshooting equipment, identifying points of failure in the flow of production, developing, and implementing countermeasures, escalating issues when necessary.
  • Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and visual management tools.
  • Proactively maintain the cell to include fixtures, kits, tools, and supplies.
  • Maintain standard work including deviations, standard work changes (red lines) and updates to work instructions.
  • Perform as a certified back-up Operator in critical cells.
