About The Position

This role is responsible for supporting fabrication operations by safely and efficiently operating equipment, fulfilling customer orders, and contributing to continuous improvement. The position emphasizes safety as the top priority and requires attention to detail in meeting customer specifications and quality standards. The role involves machine maintenance, process improvement suggestions, and maintaining a clean work area using the 5S system.

Requirements

Basic computer skills
Ability to recognize safety concerns
Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment
A highly motivated self-starter
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Basic math skills
Ability to detect minor defects in the finish of the product
Ability to read blueprints and inspect parts according to customer specifications

Responsibilities

Exhibit active leadership to model and support the company’s vision, culture, and strategies.
Ensure safety is the number one priority by promoting a safe work environment and following all safety programs and guidelines.
Set up and run equipment safely and efficiently to maximize output while meeting customer quality requirements.
Rotate strenuous or repetitive jobs at a minimum of every 4 hours to prevent injury.
Accurately and efficiently fulfill customer orders by reviewing manufacturing orders and packaging orders based on customer specifications.
Follow current work center schedule to ensure customer service and satisfaction.
Monitor and recommend appropriate process improvements to safety, rates, yield, and inspection techniques.
Perform general machine maintenance as necessary.
Provide suggestions and continuous improvement ideas to help better processes and procedures.
Keep work area clean and orderly using the 5S system.
Continually support and improve the department’s key measures.
