About The Position

This role is for a Fabrication Supervisor on the Weekend Shift, which runs from Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The position offers a pay range of $28.00-$36.50 per hour, with a 10% weekend shift differential. Employees working 36 hours will be paid for 40 hours. The core responsibilities involve leading fabrication team members, ensuring a commitment to safety and quality, and ensuring team members operate efficiently and with urgency.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in reading CAD drawings and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC equipment.
  • Experience in machinery fabrication and measuring instruments.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, organization, proactive decision-making, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Confidence and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing.
  • Commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in interviewing, performance management, coaching, and developing teams advantageous.

  • Lead Fabrication team members, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, and engaging them to perform at the highest level.
  • Train and develop team members to reach their full potential, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to excel.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work environment.
  • Ensure parts and processes meet quality standards through routine maintenance and checks.

  • Monitor safety and quality metrics, addressing issues promptly to prevent recurrence.
  • Complete machine units and rework on schedule to keep projects moving.
  • Respond quickly to customer needs with an “I can’t believe they pulled that off” mindset.
  • Operate and set up fabrication equipment proficiently to meet production goals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, tooling, and process issues to support team success.
