About The Position

The Fabrication Supervisor will lead Fabrication team members, ensuring they perform at the highest level through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and engagement. This role involves training and developing team members to reach their full potential, promoting the Aagard culture, and fostering open communication and collaboration between shifts and departments. A strong commitment to safety and quality is essential, including maintaining a safe, organized, and clean work environment, ensuring parts and processes meet quality standards, and identifying best practices to boost performance, productivity, and cost efficiency. The supervisor will monitor safety and quality metrics, addressing issues promptly. Additionally, the role requires ensuring team members operate efficiently and with urgency, completing machine units and rework on schedule, responding quickly to customer needs, operating and setting up fabrication equipment proficiently, and troubleshooting equipment, tooling, and process issues.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in reading CAD drawings and blueprints.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up and operate CNC equipment.
  • Experience in machinery fabrication and measuring instruments.
  • Strong prioritization, time management, organization, proactive decision-making, and attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft products including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Confidence and ability to communicate professionally with internal and external customers verbally and in writing.
  • Commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Ability to walk or stand up to 100 percent of the time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or climb.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology or a related field preferred.
  • 3 years of manufacturing supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in interviewing, performance management, coaching, and developing teams advantageous.

  • Recommend and implement best practices to prioritize safety, improve productivity, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain professional interactions with customers and vendors.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
