To perform assigned duties safely and efficiently, producing. Defect free product. Facilitate movement of material and assure perfect product quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
  • Ability to operate hand tools efficiently.
  • Ability to learn and rotate through all fabrication line and support roles.
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
  • Ability to operate large automated industrial equipment.
  • Ability to operate large overhead power cranes.
  • Ability to use precision measuring devices.
  • Focus on safe work practices and high quality while executing duties with a sense of urgency.
  • Work efficiently self-directed or in a team environment.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds
  • Work cooperatively within a team environment.
  • Ability to inspect your own work as well as that of other associates.
  • Ability to wear all required PPE.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1-year large industrial press experience (preferred)
  • Continuous improvement knowledge (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for start-up, operation, change over, shut down and preventative maintenance of assigned production equipment. Equipment may include, but not limited to, presses, overhead crane, fabrication line equipment, forklifts, or other power equipment.
  • Operate all assigned equipment safely and efficiently in accordance to Company Safety Policy
  • Perform manual tasks such as: loading, unloading, supplying fabrication line items, reworking product, and loading conveyors.
  • Daily machine setup using HMI (Human Machine Interfaces)
  • Die and or tooling change out (up to 8000lbs.) with the use of overhead crane or die lifting device.
  • Monitor multiple machine operations simultaneously.
  • Quality Assurance and testing compliance according to Company and/or designated facility standards with the use of calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices
  • Provide general plant, fabrication line and facility clean up (5S)
  • Identify and recommend continuous improvement ideas.
  • Setup and observe automatic feeding and stacking equipment.
  • Conduct surface level troubleshooting and maintenance of assigned machines and equipment a needed for maximum product quality and operational efficiency.
