About The Position

Leonardo DRS Land Systems is a recognized leader in the design and integration of complex technologies into new and legacy systems and platforms for global military and commercial customers. We are a 6 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area. This role is responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget. The operator must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment. This position will support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

Responsible and accountable for producing quality work to prescribed standards, with a focus on continuous improvement to meet customer commitments on schedule and within budget
Follow written work instructions must maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety procedures including those which govern the handling of materials, chemicals, tools, and equipment
Properly use required PPE
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Perform entry-level functions, which may include: the safe handling of product as specified in the guidelines and the basic operation of tools within Fab area, in specific large and small wheelabrator
Proper use of hoist, rigging, tools and material handling equipment
Interpret Process Flow Instructions and other written or verbal instructions
Properly log in and out on assigned jobs and complete appropriate paperwork
Read and interpret manufacturing processes, blueprints and other work instructions
