Fabrication Operator II

This role involves assisting operators in machine operation, following cues, marking parts as provided by the operator, using a variety of handheld and power tools, and performing spot checks on parts in the workstation. The operator will also train/learn machine and equipment operation, conduct housekeeping as necessary, demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality, and be able to multitask and adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected challenges with projects. Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1+ Years of experience in manufacturing industry
- The Ability to work overtime, as needed
- Team player, ability to work by yourself and with others
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Responsibilities
- Assist operators in machine operation
- Follow cues, markup parts as provided by operator.
- Use variety of handheld and power tools.
- Spot check parts in workstation.
- Train/learn machine and equipment
- Conduct housekeeping as necessary.
- Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness to ensure quality.
- Able to multitask and adapt to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected challenges with projects
- Sets up, tends, and maintains fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, brakes, and punch presses that cut, shape, and bend metal plates and sheets
