About The Position

Metal Works is seeking an experienced Fabrication Manager to manage and schedule manufacturing activities so customer requirements for product quality and delivery are met. The manager ensures company policies and procedures are followed and that the assigned area operates efficiently and productively. The role is accountable for allocating resources to meet customer quality and delivery requirements; errors can directly affect quality and delivery.

Requirements

Strong organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
Ability to use computerized systems and applications.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to maintain accurate and complete records.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage the production schedule, identifying and assigning priorities.
Verify and maintain daily inventory Min/Max levels for stock.
Manage department supply requirements and reorder as necessary to prevent stock-outs; review requirements weekly.
Update Profit Key for output and provide Management with a daily status update of completed Work Orders.
Provide ongoing customer support.
Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment, ensuring safety guidelines are followed for the storage and/or disposal of hazardous materials assigned to the work area.
Recommend improvements to workflow, processes, and methods.
Manage resources to eliminate waste and rework and reduce downtime.
Ensure employees complete job travelers, products are properly identified throughout the process, and labor is accurately recorded.
Ensure personnel assigned to the area are properly trained and comply with company policies and procedures.
Complete other tasks and/or assignments as required by Management.
Be responsible for the quality and adequacy of own work.
