About The Position

GPJ is hiring a Senior Manager of Fabrication to oversee daily operations at its fabrication shop in Las Vegas. This is an on-site role requiring attendance at the Las Vegas office at least five days per week. The manager schedules and supervises union and non-union shop staff, administers staffing, and forecasts labor needs based on project workload. The role oversees milling, carpentry, metal fabrication, paint, electrical, and crating, with a primary focus on leading, staffing, and training the team and determining the working hours needed to complete the workload efficiently. The position requires extensive knowledge of exhibit fabrication techniques and contributes to improving shop layout and stock-material planning, including quantities, material posting, racking, and efficient use of limited space. Quality control is a major responsibility: the manager sets production-quality expectations, promptly raises quality concerns, and takes ownership of fabrication quality, with success measured through client and end-user satisfaction. The manager coordinates with project management, estimating, engineering, warehouse, graphics, and purchasing; attends project launch meetings; monitors stock materials and reorder points; and forecasts completion dates with warehouse and project management to support packaging and shipment. The role also recruits and staffs fabrication departments, develops relationships with trade schools and talent sources, evaluates carpentry skill levels, develops apprentices and shop personnel, and assigns jobs with the shop foreman. GPJ describes itself as a global experiential marketing company with 29 global offices and part of the Project Worldwide family, an independent employee-owned global network. The company states that it offers an Employee Stock Ownership Plan, a flexible time-off policy, an employer-matching 401(k) plan, and a low employee-contribution healthcare option. GPJ is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits workplace harassment based on protected classes.
