About The Position

The Fabrication Floor Supervisor manages daily fabrication operations, from fabrication orders through fulfillment of customer orders. The role monitors product yields and quality, supports safety compliance, supervises hourly employees, tracks employee hours, and contributes to the development of company policies and procedures. The position reports to the Fabrication General Foreman and may involve travel and Saturday work as needed.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving and leadership qualities.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships.
• Ability to walk and/or climb stairs for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a loud environment with slick floors and very hot or cold conditions.
• Ability to work 50–55 hours per week, with some Saturday work if necessary.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fabrication or slaughter operations; preferred but not required.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in the meat or food industry; preferred but not required.
• Experience leading a team; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations from fabrication orders to ensure customer orders are fulfilled.
• Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products and review the previous day's results to make necessary adjustments.
• Perform safety walks at the start of each period and correct non-compliance issues.
• Work with Quality Control to ensure appropriate product quality.
• Follow disciplinary procedures with hourly employees.
• Keep track of employee hours.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of JBS policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of the position.
