About The Position

The Fabrication Floor Supervisor manages daily fabrication operations to fulfill customer orders, maintain acceptable product yields, and ensure product quality and workplace safety. The role also involves supervising hourly employees, tracking employee hours, contributing to the development of JBS policies and procedures, and performing related duties as directed. The position is based in Omaha, Nebraska, reports to the Fabrication General Foreman, and requires willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.

Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving and leadership qualities.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships.
• Ability to walk and/or climb stairs for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a loud environment with slick floors and very hot or cold conditions.
• Ability to work 50–55 hours per week, with some Saturday work if necessary.
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fabrication or slaughter operations; preferred but not required.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in the meat or food industry; preferred but not required.
• Experience leading a team; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations from fabrication orders to comply with customer orders.
• Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products and review prior-day results to make necessary adjustments.
• Perform safety walks at the start of each period and correct non-compliance issues.
• Work with Quality Control to ensure appropriate product quality.
• Follow disciplinary procedures with hourly employees.
• Keep track of employee hours.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of JBS policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of the position.
