About The Position

The Fabrication Floor Supervisor at JBS USA will manage the daily operations of the fabrication department, ensuring compliance with customer orders. This role involves maintaining acceptable yield levels, conducting safety walks, collaborating with Quality Control, and managing hourly employees. The supervisor will also contribute to policy development and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in the meat/food industry
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Exhibit problem solving and leadership qualities
• Establish and maintain working relationships
• Must be able to walk and or climb stairs for extended periods of time
• Ability to work in a loud environment with slick floors and very hot or cold environments
• Ability to work 50-55 hours per week with some Saturday work if necessary
• Willingness to travel at least 25% of the time

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fabrication or slaughter operations
• Experience leading a team

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operation from fabrication orders to comply with customer orders
• Maintain acceptable yield levels on all products and from previous day to make necessary adjustments
• Perform safety walks at the start of each period correcting any non-compliance issues
• Work with Quality Control to ensure appropriate product quality
• Follow disciplinary procedures with hourly employees
• Keep track of employee hours
• Contributes to the ongoing development of JBS policies and procedures
• Perform other related duties as directed that correspond to the overall function of this position
