About The Position

The Fabrication Fitter uses knowledge of welding techniques and processes, metals and materials, oxy/acetylene and plasma cutting, weld symbols, and engineering blueprints to meet production goals. The role lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies to specifications using common fabrication tools, and tack welds or welds components and assemblies. The position makes routine decisions about fitting, layout, tack welding, fabrication methods, tool selection, and interpretation of blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications within established procedures and quality standards.
