Fabrication Associate - Entry Level

About The Position

Ferguson is seeking an entry-level Fabrication Associate to join its team. The role supports pipe fabrication in a shop and pipe yard, including machine setup and maintenance, pipe measurement and processing, order assembly, organization of supplies, and safe handling and shipping of pipe. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with an 8-hour shift scheduled between 5 a.m. and 4 p.m.; overtime is possible.

Nice To Haves

Prior fabrication experience is preferred but not required.
Experience and training in operating machinery for cutting and threading pipe according to OSHA regulations are preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain machines in the shop for pipe fabrication.
Accurately measure, record, and add random pipe length.
Measure and cut pipe with a band saw and/or torch; roll and groove single and double random lengths; and thread and bevel pipe with Landis machines.
Move loose and/or bundled pipe from various locations within the pipe yard.
Assemble pipe orders in single sticks or bundles and keep work supplies organized.
Observe safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe for storage and transportation.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
