About The Position

Ferguson is seeking an entry-level Fabrication Associate to join its team. The role supports pipe fabrication in a shop and pipe yard, including preparing and maintaining machinery, measuring and processing pipe, moving and assembling orders, and following safety procedures for fabrication, handling, storage, and transportation. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Ferguson is a Fortune 500 company with approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations. It supplies products and services across industries including commercial/mechanical, facilities supply, fire and fabrication, HVAC, industrial, residential trade, residential building and remodel, waterworks, and residential digital commerce.

Nice To Haves

Prior fabrication experience is preferred but not required.
Experience and training operating machinery to cut and thread pipe according to OSHA regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Set up and maintain shop machines used for pipe fabrication.
Measure and record pipe lengths accurately and add random pipe length.
Measure and cut pipe with a band saw and/or torch; roll and groove single and double random lengths; and thread and bevel pipe with Landis machines.
Move loose and/or bundled pipe between locations in the pipe yard.
Assemble pipe orders as single sticks or bundles and keep work supplies organized.
Follow safety precautions for fabricating, cutting, assembling, stacking, and shipping pipe for storage and transportation.
Operate powered industrial equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines and Ferguson safe operating procedures.
