Metalenz is seeking a Fabrication and Process Engineer to support prototyping activities for our metasurface-based optical components and devices. This position is a hands-on role in the wafer fab, building devices for internal and external customers. You will work closely with a small team of process engineers, and also collaborate closely with our design and metrology groups. The role involves working in a shared-user clean-room using microelectronic fabrication techniques, including direct-write electron beam lithography, plasma deposition and etch, and operating optical aligners and e-beam exposure tools. You will also provide SEM characterization data for device yield improvement and have the opportunity to learn the full suite of process and metrology tools. The majority of the workday (about 75%) will be spent in the cleanroom, with the remainder dedicated to meetings, planning experiments, and equipment reservations.
