About The Position
We are an LA based luxury women’s ready to wear brand, seeking a self-motivated intern to assist our Fabric R&D team. We are looking for a motivated, professional, and trustworthy intern to help us with various duties. This is an extremely valuable opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience. This is a paid internship. We need hard-working self-starters who can keep up with a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member
- Ability to communicate at all levels with team members
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
- Organize seasonal and archival fabric library
- File seasonal fabric headers and labdips
- Assist with ordering seasonal color standards
- Set up seasonal color boards
- Enter color and Pantone information in fabric chart
- Check in sample yardage – unpack, label, prepare headers
- Cut swatches for boards, presentations, books, etc.
- Gather FDS information from mills and confirm all info is correct on fabric chart and linesheet
- Update board cards with fabric swatch, details, and colors
- Ability to cut precise, neat fabric swatches with consistency
