Requirements

  • Manual dexterity with the ability to operate hand and power tools including staple guns
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work a changing work schedule according to production demands
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all departments
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work in cold and hot environments (non-climate controlled)
  • Ability to work with strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to lift a minimum 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a production environment using safety equipment including protective eyewear, ear plugs and safety gloves as required
  • Ability to read diagrams and drawings
  • Ability to read a tape measure

Responsibilities

  • Learn the correct use of system switching on and off.
  • Understand how a traveler should be read to generate an order in the system, including details like multiple colors, welt cord, or additional instructions.
  • Provide a manual detailing common defects and acceptable areas for each defect.
  • Utilize necessary tools for efficient nesting, such as a sash, knee pads, silver pen, and scissors.
  • Receive a tour of the plant, understanding the impact of nesting work and identifying pieces that must always be clean (prime), partially shown (partial show), and hidden.
  • Correctly use and manage machine controls in the nesting area, understanding step-by-step functions.
  • Provide daily feedback on the naming of different skin types based on colors.
