About The Position

Thibaut designs and distributes exclusive and high-end wallpaper, fabric, and furniture. The company has been in business since 1886 and we are growing fast! The Fabric Cutter position is responsible for accurately and efficiently measuring, cutting, packing, and shipping orders according to customer requirements. This role involves performing all activities in the Infor system to maintain accurate inventory, properly inspecting fabrics for quality issues, and meeting or exceeding productivity standards. The position also includes maintaining a safe and clean work environment, installing and aligning machinery components, inspecting machinery for necessary repairs, and prioritizing cutting according to the shipping schedule to meet or exceed published cuts/hour targets.

Requirements

  • 1 year of warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
  • Highschool diploma or GED required.
  • Strong math skills (addition/subtraction/dividing/fractions).
  • Able to distinguish colors and patterns.
  • Able to lift up to 65 lbs.
  • Able to push and pull rolling carts and pallet jacks.
  • Able to stand/walk up to 8 to 12 hours per day.
  • Must be able to use MS Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Good knowledge of the usage of various fabric cutting tools, machinery and methods.
  • Familiar with inventory and warehouse management concepts and systems.
  • Prior experience in textiles and wallcoverings preferred.
  • Prior experience pick/pack/ship operations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Measure, Cut, Pack and Ship orders accurately, efficiently, and according to customer requirements.
  • Perform all activities in the Infor system to maintain inventory accurately.
  • Properly inspect printed and woven fabrics and recognize quality issues.
  • Meet or exceed any productivity standards.
  • Participate in all provided training.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
  • Install, level, and align components, such as gears, chains, guides, dies, cutters, and/or needles to set up machinery for operation.
  • Inspect machinery to determine whether repairs are needed.
  • Organized and can prioritize cutting according to the shipping schedule.
  • Meet or exceed published cuts/hour targets.
