About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fab Programmer - 1st Shift. The main function of the Fabrication Programmer is to use Cincinnati bend simulation and bend express software to program both the Cincinnati and the Prima panel bender. In this function, you will perform initial set-up and updates to the Cincinnati and panel bender brakes, review all change management parts to the fabrication department, interpret work orders including; written, oral, Kanban cards, and drawings, maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation, review programs with brake operators to make adjustments as needed, be a part of the on-the-job training for new operators, assist engineering in evaluating new product design, keep the “On hold Rack” clear, participate in press brake/EBE improvement activities, perform 5S+ responsibilities daily, provide backup support for steel/copper machine programming functions (NC Express, Metamation), and perform any work-related task assigned by your Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D from an accredited institution.
  • Basic computer skills – Microsoft Office, Enovia, etc.

  • Fluent in press brake operations.
  • Ability to interpret auto cad drawings and or inventor.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead.
  • Able to read calipers, protractors and tape measures.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance.
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years in fabrication.
  • DMM experience.
