Material Handler - 1st Shift FAB
About The Position
The Material Handler is responsible for operating a fork truck, performing basic stockroom duties such as picking and putting away parts, delivering parts to stock, and supplying departments with parts. This role also involves keeping the warehouse clean, moving empty pallets and containers, and disposing of cardboard and garbage. Additionally, the Material Handler will move finished products from lines to the finished goods warehouse, supply production lines, and handle yard work. Shipping and receiving UPS packages is also a key responsibility, requiring knowledge of all aspects of warehouse/stockroom receiving.
Requirements
- Must pass the forklift operator’s test
- Ability to lift up to 51 lbs.
- Need to know all aspects of warehouse/stockroom receiving
Responsibilities
- Operate fork truck (must pass the forklift operator’s test to qualify for this position)
- Basic stockroom duties (pick parts, put parts away)
- Deliver parts to stock
- Supply departments with parts
- Keep warehouse clean
- Move empty pallet & containers to designated area
- Remove/dispose cardboard & garbage dumpsters
- Move finished products from lines to finished goods warehouse
- Ship direct finished goods
- Supply production lines & remove finished products from lines
- Yard work
- Ship & receive UPS
