About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Machine Operator for the WKND Shift. The essential function of the FAB Machine Operator is to perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal processing machinery.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. from an accredited institution
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead
  • Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance
  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word), Internet, etc.
  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Machining Certificate
  • Previous experience in Fabrication
  • Previous DMM experience
  • Previous experience reading calipers, protractors and tape measures
  • Previous experience reading blueprints

Responsibilities

  • Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations
  • Understand / Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor
  • Perform initial set-up for operation on PLC, Analog, or Manual controlled machines
  • Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts
  • Interpret work orders including written, Kanban cards, and drawings
  • Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation
  • Inspect final component against work specifications
  • Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment
  • Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment
  • Provide on-the-job training for new Operators
  • Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily
  • Complete any other assigned tasks from management or leads
