About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a FAB Senior Copper Machine Operator - WKND Shift. This position is based at our Arden, NC location. The Machine Operator will perform technical fabrication operations on raw materials throughout the Fabrication Department using metal-processing machinery.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (General Education Degree) from an accredited institution.
Previous experience reading calipers, protractors, and tape measures.
Previous experience reading blueprints.
Must live within 50 miles of the Arden, NC, facility. (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.)

Nice To Haves

Machining Certificate.
Previous experience in fabrication.
Previous DMM experience.

Responsibilities

Observe all safety rules and hygiene regulations.
Receive work assignments and oral or written instructions from the Supervisor.
Perform initial setup for operation on PLC-, analog-, or manually controlled machines.
Operate equipment and machinery to produce parts.
Interpret work orders, including written instructions, Kanban cards, and drawings.
Complete necessary paperwork and system transactions.
Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation.
Inspect final components against work specifications.
Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment.
Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment.
Provide on-the-job training for new Operators.
Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily.
Complete any other tasks assigned by management.
