About The Position

The Food & Beverage Supervisor assists in overseeing daily operations of restaurant, bar, and/or banquet areas. This role supports team members, ensures service standards are met, maintains cleanliness and organization, and contributes to delivering an exceptional guest experience. Located in downtown Tampa, this modern property sits in a high-growth corridor, offering the opportunity to lead brand-forward operations in a dynamic urban market. The Hyatt House and Hyatt Place are co-located spanning transient and extended-stay segments, making it an ideal setting for leaders who excel in hybrid operational models.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of food and beverage experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of POS systems and cash-handling procedures.
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and team coordination skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality coursework or certifications preferred.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Experience in restaurant, bar, or banquet operations a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support daily operations of assigned F&B outlet(s).
  • Assist with training and onboarding new team members.
  • Ensure service standards, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction targets are met.
  • Monitor dining areas, bar stations, and service flow during peak periods.
  • Assist with scheduling, breaks, and shift coverage as needed.
  • Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support inventory, ordering, and restocking processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
