About The Position

This role is responsible for overseeing restaurant, bar, and beverage operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, training, and administrative tasks. The F&B Manager ensures smooth daily operations, maintains high standards of service, and collaborates with other hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of hotel fire regulations and policy, accident reports, safety programs.
  • Ability to implement proper training program and control the training of the staff to top efficiency and in accordance with Marriott policies.
  • Familiarity with operating procedures of all other areas of the hotel.
  • Ability to cooperate fully and in a friendly manner with other departments to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to determine the requirements for and follow up on special groups, VIPs, etc.
  • Ability to follow supervisor’s instructions and complete other duties as directed or assigned.
  • Ability to drive personal vehicle or company car as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the organization of the beer/wine cooler and maintaining inventory logs.
  • Enforce policies regarding liquor requisitions and maintain liquor par levels.
  • Ensure beverage staff members follow proper procedures for ordering, pouring, and cashiering.
  • Coordinate all aspects of groups with reservations in the pub/patio area.
  • Responsible for reservations on holidays.
  • Set up and monitor regular contests and promotions, and assist with implementation of special promotions.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas and address items needing attention.
  • Hold pre-shift meetings with staff.
  • Ensure shifts are covered with adequate staff, especially during peak periods.
  • Communicate daily with department managers and MOD to ensure consistency and pass on pertinent information.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, reward, discipline, and document performance.
  • Address associate complaints and resolve problems.
  • Supervise staff and handle associate situations.
  • Handle administrative work related to interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, and terminations.
  • Select and develop qualified, goal, and service-oriented individuals.
  • Ensure staff are properly groomed and uniformed.
  • Maintain work area cleanliness and issue cleaning assignments.
  • Maintain operational efficiency and a high standard of quality service and courtesy.
  • Maintain close control and inventory of uniforms, supplies, and equipment.
  • Prepare and post weekly schedules.
  • Conduct hospitality audits to ensure staff conduct aligns with department standards.
  • Maintain a complete and accurate set of logs.
  • Prepare and submit accident or injury reports.
  • Promote teamwork among staff.
  • Ensure guests who experience a problem receive an appropriate response and follow-up.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with hotel policy and applicable laws.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work of associates.
  • Prepare payroll as required.
  • Promote open communication between hotel departments.
  • Ensure all associates are safety conscious and trained in safe work practices.
  • Ensure associates are trained on hotel fire regulations, policy, accident reports, and safety programs.
  • Implement and control staff training programs in accordance with Marriott policies.
  • Facilitate new hire training and departmental training modules.
  • Hold department meetings and attend inter-departmental meetings.
  • Be familiar with the operating procedures of all other hotel areas and cooperate to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Route associate commendations to the appropriate person.
  • Notify management of pertinent information related to shift activities.
  • Determine requirements for and follow up on special groups, VIPs, etc.
  • Participate in the Hotel Manager on Duty Program.
  • Follow supervisor’s instructions and complete other duties as directed or assigned.
  • Drive personal vehicle or company car as needed.
