About The Position

The F&B Manager is a critical, hands-on leadership role responsible for assisting the Restaurants General Manager in the daily execution and flawless operation of the front-of-house service across all Food & Beverage outlets. This role serves as the primary on-the-floor manager, ensuring brand standards are met while directly supervising the FOH team to drive operational and financial excellence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of progressive management experience in Food & Beverage, preferably in a high-volume, upscale hotel, resort, or multi-outlet hospitality environment.
  • Proven ability to supervise, coach, and develop a diverse service team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of high-end dining service, lounge/bar operations, and quick service/coffee shop management.
  • Proficiency with Point of Sale (POS) and reservation systems; excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Current Food Handler, Alcohol Sever Training (On-Prenise) and DABS Manager Training certifications (or ability to obtain within 30 days after hire) are required.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, particularly during peak ski season.
  • Demonstrated skill in managing complex F&B front-of-house operations across multiple service periods and distinct venues simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop a large, diverse FOH team, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of wine, spirits, and craft cocktails to lead beverage training and service standards.
  • Strong proficiency with POS systems (e.g., Micros, Aloha), reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, Resy), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • An unwavering commitment to delivering a premium level of guest service and cultivating strong guest relationships.
  • Decisive and proactive approach to quickly resolving operational issues and guest conflicts under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, staff, and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary on-the-floor manager for all service periods, personally executing and enforcing the standards for the Signature Restaurant, Lounges, Room Service, and Banquets FOH functions.
  • Ensure seamless service delivery and an elevated guest experience across all venues, acting as the immediate point of contact for service issues.
  • Directly support the Restaurants General Manager in implementing operational policies, managing guest flow, optimizing seating distribution, and overseeing the guest reservation system.
  • Monitor guest feedback and work with the Culinary Team to ensure consistent food and beverage quality.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization in all guest spaces.
  • Directly supervise and coach FOH staff, including Servers, Bartenders, Baristas, Hosts, and Runners.
  • Foster a Culture of Care and professional excellence within the team.
  • Lead daily pre-shift meetings to motivate the team and communicate service goals.
  • Manage FOH training programs focusing on service techniques, product knowledge (wine, cocktails, menu), and upselling.
  • Assist with efficient weekly staff scheduling to manage labor costs within budget.
  • Oversee accurate cash handling, POS transactions, and end-of-day reporting.
  • Assist the RGM in monitoring operational expenses and inventory for smallwares and supplies.
  • Analyze daily sales and service data to identify opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all local, state, and federal health, sanitation, and liquor laws, including the proper service and storage of alcohol.
  • Act as a key leader in addressing and resolving immediate guest concerns, escalating high-level issues to the Restaurants General Manager as necessary.
  • Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and maintenance in all FOH areas and guest spaces.
