About The Position

The Café Host(ess)/Cashier provides guest service by seating guests at their tables, keeping dining areas clean, and assisting Food and Beverage staff as needed. The role supports a positive dining experience through superior customer service, adherence to the room rotation system, and cooperation with coworkers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Food handlers card required.
• Able to organize and carry out tasks at the direction of a supervisor or manager.
• Excellent customer service experience.
• Understanding of food preparation, storage, and safety.
• Able to communicate well with guests and employees.
• Able to work cooperatively and be friendly with others.
• Able to lift 50 pounds while standing, twisting, or bending.
• Able to stand for extended periods.
• Manual and finger dexterity for handling serving dishes and other equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Some food preparation training is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service and attend to dining guests’ needs.
• Learn and follow the room rotation system for seating guests.
• Keep the host/hostess area clean and organized.
• Actively practice the customer service standards.
• Assist coworkers with rolling silverware and other assigned side work.
• Assist other staff as requested.
