About The Position

Provides exemplary customer service to guests at banquet functions. Sets tables, serves food and beverages to banquet guests, cleans tables and surrounding areas. Responds to the needs of the dining room guests. Reviews banquet and event orders while preparing for event. Serves as a bartender during events. Responsible to execute the BEO details to include setting tables and theming of the room. Returns the room to its original pre-function set up and/or preparing for the next event. Completes a pre-event task in an efficient manner (i.e., silverware polishing, napkin folding, etc.). Adheres to the highest uniform and dress code standards recognizing the enhanced ambiance of a catered event. Works with kitchen management to deliver desired outcome. Assist other Food & Beverage staff as requested. All other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of food handling experience, preferred.
  • A combination of service related experience and skills may be substituted for the one-year requirement.
  • Food Handlers card required.
  • Must successfully obtain a TIPS card within 60 days of employment.
  • Must be 21 years of age if fulfilling bartender duties, otherwise, 18 years of age.
  • 16 years of age banquet server is permitted and is required to adhere to all PME educational guidelines.
  • Alcohol service which includes handling of any alcohol beverages or products is not allowed or permitted by employees under 18 years of age.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. while standing, twisting, or bending.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Manual and finger dexterity for handling serving dishes, and other equipment.
  • Personal hygiene and sanitation standards must be exercised.

Nice To Haves

  • Some food preparation training helpful.
  • One year of food handling experience, preferred.
