About The Position

This role involves supporting technical efforts in the change workflow for pilot training devices, including retrofit installation, and technical coordination and communication with all stakeholders. The successful candidate will develop engineering change proposals, oversee hardware and software retrofit installations, and ensure seamless integration within pilot training device networks. Responsibilities include installing, configuring, and maintaining essential systems like computers, networks, workstations, file servers, and network cabling. The role also involves driving all phases of sustainment change from problem identification to field deployment, providing engineering support for troubleshooting and resolving field issues with deployed training devices, and offering remote/virtual assistance to field teams. A strong aptitude in systems engineering, with experience in hardware and software retrofit installation, is expected. This position requires the ability to travel domestically and internationally (50% and up) and the ability to obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance. U.S. citizenship is a requirement.

Requirements

  • 3 or more years of experience in systems engineering
  • Knowledge of pilot training device architecture, hardware, and software
  • Experience with Linux or Windows Server administration
  • Experience with collecting, analyzing, and interpreting cost, schedule, and technical data to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level U.S. government security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Hardware and Software retrofit installation
  • Experience with systems administration for Virtual Environments, Microsoft Servers, and Windows Operating Systems
  • Experience with TCP/IP, IP configuration, peer-to-peer networking, and IP addressing and subnets
  • Experience with system and hardware/software configuration management and product change workflow
  • Integration and test experience
  • Active Security + certification

  • Drive all phases of sustainment change from problem identification through to deployment in the field, ensuring rigorous testing and integration
  • Provide exceptional engineering support for troubleshooting and resolving field issues with deployed training devices, including remote/virtual assistance to field teams
  • Demonstrate technical aptitude in systems engineering, with experience in hardware and software retrofit installation
