About The Position

The Electrical Engineer will perform as an integral member of the on-site Engineering Support Group (ESG) team with responsibility to support the development of F-16 Organic Modification programs for the United States Air Force and to update the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics (LM Aero) Engineering databases and drawings. The selected candidate will be required to be in the office (on-site) in accordance with a set team schedule to coordinate with the rest of the team. Teleworking is acceptable when not in the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 3 years related F-16 aircraft experience; will accept a minimum of 10 years of F-16 experience without a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Aircraft electrical design experience.
  • Experience working with technical engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and Technical Orders.
  • Must possess at minimum Interim Secret Security Clearance required prior to starting
  • Must be a US Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • F-16 aircraft electrical design
  • Experience with aeronautics specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and understand AL/PLs, drawing notes and usage flags.
  • Read and interpret engineering and customer provided documentation.
  • Basic understanding of LM Aero engineering databases (i.e. ACE, Technical Orders (T.O.), Electronic Drawing Management System (EDMS),Parts Warehouse, etc.)
  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team, be a self-starter and have initiative
  • Experience working on several Projects simultaneously, within budget and schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Researching the electrical configuration impact(s) to F-16 aircraft using Lockheed Martin’s Aerospace Consolidated Engineering (ACE) databases, Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), F-16 Technical Order (T.O.) Repository, Parts Warehouse, etc.) to determine current configuration, effectivity, and next higher assembly for applicable drawings.
  • Responsible for researching, using and modifying harness wire lists, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
  • Create engineering application lists (Als), parts lists (PLs), reference designator lists, drawing notes, service data notes and temporary usage flags.
  • Determine effectivities for MIDAS technical order numbering systems (T.O.)drawings (Wiring Diagrams, Schematics) using ACE.
  • Developing, reviewing, and managing T.O. guidance for Field and Depot level programs
  • Troubleshooting and resolving F-16 components, electrical and Environmental Control systems (ECS).
  • Managing Deficiency Reporting, Investigating and Resolution (DRI&R) reports.
  • Limited domestic and overseas travel in support of F-16 aircraft Operational Use Evaluation (OUE), Trial Verification Installation (TVI) and Kit Proof (KP) events which typically last for up to 2 weeks at a time.
