About The Position

This position is for an Extrusion Saw Operator working the midnight shift in Livonia. The role involves reviewing work orders, preparing workflow, and updating systems. Key responsibilities include setting and verifying saw operational gauges, ensuring product accuracy and cut length, and safely operating a saw crane. The operator will also stretch extrusions as needed and adhere to all company processes and procedures for accuracy and safety. Additional tasks may be assigned, and participation in company training is required. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

Requirements

2-3 years working experience in a manufacturing/production facility.
Must have reliable transportation.
Must be 18 years or older.
Must possess a H.S. diploma, G.E.D., or high school equivalent.
Proficiency using measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, etc.
Must have excellent attendance and work ethic.
Commute to multiple company facilities and personnel, as needed.
Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (without restrictions or sponsorship).
Must be able to speak English proficiently (verbally and written).
Must be willing to engage in self-learning keeping up with industry trends, safety, and company information, and training as needed.

Responsibilities

Review work orders to prepare workflow.
Review and update orders in operating and/or scheduling systems.
Set, review, change, etc. saw setting operational gauges following processes and procedures.
Verify accuracy of products and cut length using appropriate measuring tools.
Operate saw crane to place materials in racks in a safe manner following processes and procedure.
Stretches extrusions (product), as needed.
Perform all duties and responsibilities following all processes and procedures for accuracy and/or report any discrepancies or concerns to supervisor/department manager.
Perform any additional tasks assigned by department manager/supervisor.
Participate, attend and complete any Company or outsourced trainings, as assigned.
Appropriately wear PPE required for this position (i.e: min. safety glasses, steel toe, ear plugs, gloves, etc.).
