About The Position
Polyzen, part of the Solesis family of companies, develops and manufactures customized polymer-based materials, extruded and molded components, and device assemblies. The Extrusion Production Technician I helps ensure the extrusion line runs efficiently and produces high-quality products. The role contributes to continuous improvement efforts and monthly production metrics involving safety, quality, sustainability, and production costs. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Polyzen does not provide employment visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience in manufacturing, machine operations, or a cleanroom environment.
- Ability to solve mathematical equations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across units of measure.
- Effective communication and collaboration with coworkers and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to read, interpret, and use complex drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
- Proficiency operating hand tools or power equipment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employment visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior extrusion operators with machine setup, production, and development runs to meet product specifications.
- Troubleshoot and perform general maintenance of extrusion equipment, including inspections and safety checks.
- Complete daily tasks in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Use production travelers and other documentation to verify raw material accuracy before manufacturing runs.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and complete quality documentation correctly.
- Assist with final product inspections and ensure senior extrusion operators complete operational reviews in a timely manner.
